WeatherGeek Pro 2 is a premium weather application which brings the world’s most advanced weather data right to your fingertips! For the first time on a mobile app, view the same numerical weather models professional meteorologists use to develop their forecasts on our beautiful Retina-quality graphical interface. If you’re a serious WeatherGeek who likes to dive into the data, this is the app you’ve been dreaming of!

Choose weather maps for North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and tropical regions* from our “global” suite of models which include the GFS (Global Forecasting System), GEFS (Global Ensemble Forecasting System), the NAEFS (North American Ensemble Forecast System), the WW3 (Wave Watch 3) Model and the ECMWF (European) Model.

You can also choose “regional” weather maps for North America, the United States and Alaska from the NAM (North American Mesoscale), NAM-HIRES (4km NAM), the SREF (Short Range Ensemble Forecast), the HRW-NMMB, and the HRW-ARW (High Resolution Window WRF).

Scan the atmosphere in three dimensions by checking out skew-t (weather balloon data) charts for the continental United States.**

Not a huge WeatherGeek and want to see more traditional weather maps? No problem! Check out our WPC Interface which allows you to view current and future surface weather maps out to seven days along with QPF (Quantified Precipitation Forecast) maps, and other weather hazard maps for the United States and southern Canada.**

Easily navigate through the maps by simply swiping your finger to advance or go backwards in time. You can also swipe your finger up and down to control which level of the atmosphere you are viewing. To see more detail for your area, easily zoom in and out on the maps by pinching or stretching. Drag your finger around on the map to scroll. Tap the play button to animate the maps and to see weather features progress in time. Draw on the maps using the drawing tool. Best of all, you have the ability to share all of these map images on popular social networking platforms like Twitter with the tap of your finger.

Pros and cons of WeatherGeek Pro 2 app for iPhone and iPad

WeatherGeek Pro 2 app good for

Ive been waiting for this ever since the first iPhone came out. Nice on the iPad. Great to have all the models. Thank you very much!
Good application but very North America Centric. If you live there, use it. If you live in Europe there are some better alternatives.
This is a great weather app if youre interested in looking at what might happen in the future of a weather forecast. Its not hard to understand. Dont let the acronyms scare you. :) Thanks for the update, BTW!
The best weather app out their for weather models, even has the EMCWF. You cant touch this kind of information with out shelling out big bucks at payed internet weather sites.

Some bad moments

Finding an app with weather models has long been my hope. I spent days trying to find something like this. WeatherGeek Pro is a must-have for every weather enthusiast. The HRRR is crucial and the best in app purchase. If you are a weather enthusiast looking for a weather model app, the wait is over. Get this app now.
If you are looking for the real deal for a weather app - look no further. This app gives you access to real models and data that meteorologists use to develop their forecasts. If you are a meteorologist, you need this app. If you are a meteorology student, you need this app. Storm chaser? You need this app. Just a person wanting to have a deeper understanding of meteorology? You need this app. There is an awesome user guide built in and even a model guide if you need help trying to figure out all the data. Get the HRRR in app purchase. This model will predict what the radar will look like over your area down to county level for 15 hours in advance. In a nutshell, this is the best professional - if not the best weather app out there. Period. Download it. Now.
Yea you added some good features but we already for this app and now 80% of the app is in-app purchases when you can get these models online for Free
Greatest app of all time for weather models from NAM to GFS to RAP. Great user interface, great quality and reliability of maps. Im an amateur meteorologist and storm chaser as well as ham radio operator and when Im not around a computer or in the field this is an amazing app! Keep up the great work!
Slow, slow, slow!!! Its lame that all of the exciting new features (ex. HRRR) you have to pay extra for. Not really a free update to an app I didnt use much anyways. Also, upper air analysis isnt contoured, so its basically useless.
Could be so good...but it is not. Clumsy, slow and full of in app purchases. Wish I had my money back.
